Medical Advisory Committee

The National Lymphedema Network (NLN) serves to provide education and guidance regarding lymphedema management to patients, healthcare professionals, and the general public by disseminating information on the prevention and management of lymphedema. The NLN offers consensus documents for best practice standards on different topics within lymphology using the latest research and expertise by leaders in the field. These documents are known as NLN Position Papers.

The National Lymphedema Network Medical Advisory Committees (MACs) exist to assist in the drafting, editing and completion of NLN Position Papers.  To be considered for participation on a MAC, please complete the application below.  All information will be kept confidential and will be reviewed by the NLN Leadership.  Submissions will be reviewed within 14 business days on a revolving basis.  Applicants will receive a response via email thereafter.  Start dates for each MAC is listed below.

To be considered for a seat on a Medical Advisory Committee, the application and supporting documents need to be submitted no later than September 6, 2024 for MACs that begin at the end of September 2024.

Each NLN Position Paper will be published in the order they are completed, and will be posted on our website on the NLN Position Papers page. In addition, each document will be presented by one or more members of that Medical Advisory Committee at the following conference respecitively.
